Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about ordering, shipping, and compressed air equipment.
How do I know what size compressor I need?
The right compressor depends on your total CFM demand and operating pressure. Add up the air consumption of all your tools and equipment, then add 20-30% for future growth and system losses. Not sure? Call us β we'll help you size it.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Orders over $2,500 ship free via LTL freight to commercial addresses in the contiguous 48 states. Residential and liftgate deliveries may incur additional charges. We'll provide exact shipping costs in your quote.
What brands do you carry?
We carry equipment from Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Quincy Compressor, Kaeser, Sullivan-Palatek, Champion, Gardner Denver, Sullair, Elgi, Hankison, and more. If you need a specific brand or model, contact us.
Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes. Every product we sell ships with the full manufacturer warranty. Warranty terms vary by brand and product β typically 1-5 years on compressors and 1-2 years on dryers and accessories. Specific warranty details are listed on each product page.
How long does shipping take?
Most in-stock items ship within 1-3 business days. Standard LTL freight delivery takes 3-7 business days depending on your location. Expedited shipping is available β contact us for options.
Can I get a custom quote for a large order?
Absolutely. We offer volume pricing on multi-unit orders and complete system packages. Submit a quote request or call us at (888) 555-0199.
Do I need a dryer with my compressor?
In most applications, yes. Compressed air contains moisture that can damage tools, contaminate products, and corrode piping. A refrigerated dryer handles most general industrial applications. Desiccant dryers are needed for critical applications like food processing, pharmaceuticals, and painting.
What's the difference between fixed speed and VFD compressors?
Fixed speed compressors run at a constant speed and are most efficient when demand is steady. Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) compressors adjust motor speed to match demand, saving 20-35% on energy costs when demand fluctuates. VFD units cost more upfront but pay for themselves in energy savings.
What voltage do I need?
Most industrial compressors above 10HP require 3-phase power (208V, 230V, 460V, or 575V). Check your electrical panel or consult your electrician. If you only have single-phase power, options are limited to smaller units β contact us and we'll help you find the right fit.
